Ask about the faucet, electrical requirements, drain connections and any desired refrigerator or ice-maker connection. Compare documented contaminant-reduction claims rather than choosing by the number of filtration stages. Published production rates describe specified test conditions; they are not necessarily the flow you will experience at your tap.
Compare total ownership costs
Include replacement filters, any membrane, installation and the manufacturer’s maintenance requirements in your budget. Ask which consumables are required and how to obtain them.
