Think in simultaneous uses
A tankless water heater heats water as it flows rather than keeping a large tank hot. It still has a maximum output. Tell your installer how many showers and other hot-water fixtures may run at once. Incoming-water temperature matters, particularly during an Ontario winter, so an advertised maximum flow rate is not a promise for every condition.
Look beyond the wall space
A wall-mounted appliance can free up floor space, but the installation still needs approved venting, service clearances and suitable utility connections. Ask about gas supply, electrical supply and condensate drainage where required. Whether recirculation is appropriate depends on the model and plumbing layout; tankless equipment alone does not guarantee instant hot water at every tap.
Know what you are buying
Our hot-water page includes the Rinnai RX199iN starting-price option. Confirm the exact model, installation scope and applicable manufacturer warranty documents with Comfort Nest. Water quality and the manufacturer’s maintenance instructions should be considered in the ownership cost. A useful assessment compares tankless with an appropriately sized storage heater instead of assuming one technology suits every household.
